Rope Lab & Peer Learning

Entry fees: 10€ regular, 5€ low income, 15€ supporter (to be paid in cash on the door).
The intention behind this event is to give some space for rope enthusiasts of all skill levels (beginners particularly welcome!) to get together and learn from each other, and have a dedicated time to practice skills that you’ve learnt elsewhere, Come prepared to ask and/or answer questions and help each other out. There will be no formal teaching, but anyone is welcome to jump in and share knowledge, and there will be more advanced people on hand to help supervise!
To sign up you must fill out the form below. If for any reason you can’t make it let us know as soon as you can. Space is limited, and there are sometimes people on the waiting list who we could give your space to. If you are able to help us with cleaning up the space at the end, please also let us know in your registration email!
This event is open to all – especially welcoming (but not limited to) LGBTQIA, BIPOC, neurodivergent, and disabled people, of all body shapes and sizes. Unfortunately the current venue is not easily wheelchair accessible. Please feel free to contact us in advance if you need specific accommodations.
Doors are open from 19:45 to 20:00 only! Please don't arrive earlier than 19:45.
What to bring: Your ropes! There are mats and cushions available at the venue, but more blankets/mats etc. are always useful. If you want to suspend, please also bring your cutting tool, carabiners, suspension ring etc.
Consent: Please be aware that understandings of consent can vary, and check with your partner(s) before (and during) playing. Feel free to approach us with concerns, if you feel uncomfortable, disrespected, or that there was an incident or violation regarding your boundaries. We will do our best to provide emotional support and go through an accountability process as needed. Our priority is that you feel supported and taken seriously, whatever the issue may be.
